SUMMARY:Embodied Gratitude Yoga and Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Fundraiser for Daybreak Star/United Indians on Thanksgiving Day morning\, 9:00-10:15 AM\n\nEmbodied Gratitude Yoga and Meditation\nTHU | 11/27 | 9:00-10:15 AM\nFUNDRAISER for Daybreak StarIn person: $50\nOnline: $35 \nLet us gather and reflect upon the things that matter to us. Embodied Gratitude offers a space to thank the peoples\, places\, and beings that care for us\, including the lands and stewards of Dzidzilalich/Seattle and beyond. \nOn this day of “Thanksgiving\,” which can be full of consumption of activity\, we invite you to slow down and connect. With a short dharma talk\, we will explore the multiple meanings of this day\, including how it relates to Seattle’s history and yoga as an indigenous practice. A gentle yoga sequence and guided meditation will call in the different Ayurvedic elements (earth\, water\, fire\, air and space)\, inviting gratitude for our bodies and grandmother earth. The event will be at the Magnolia Yoga and Healing Arts studio but the majority of the proceeds will go directly to Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Discovery Park.
