July 4th at 9am flag raising ceremony at the old Fort Lawton Parade Grounds!

Beginning at 9:00 AM at the Discovery Park flagpole at the Scoop Jackson Memorial viewpoint, located at the north end of the old Fort Lawton Parade Grounds. We are planning for the ceremony to last about 30 minutes.
Regarding logistics, we suggest that those who are able to walk park in the South or East lots. For veterans or guests who need closer access, there is limited street parking available along Washington Avenue. Please reach out to Bart Cheever directly. We will have few chairs for seniors as well.
There are many local Magnolia organizations working hard to make this flagpole work again and to keep Old Glory flying! I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible to join us in this grand ceremony, July 4th at 9am. Happy 250th birthday America!
