Opening Reception at Traver Gallery

Transforming Light brings together the work of British-American artist Joanna Manousis and American artist Zac Weinberg (based in Sunderland, UK) in their first exhibition with Traver Gallery, exploring how light transforms our perception of objects, materials, and the systems that shape the spaces around us. Through distinct approaches to glass, Manousis uses cast glass, mirrors, and mixed media to investigate reflection, distortion, and illusion, while Weinberg combines industrial float glass, conductive materials, and digital fabrication to reveal the hidden pathways of light and electricity within his sculptures. Together, their works invite viewers to look closely as light activates each piece, continually transforming object and space. An opening reception with the artists will be held at Traver Gallery on Saturday, July 11, from 3–5 pm.
