Kaleidoscope School, founded in 1996, is a high quality, well established small school in Magnolia. Currently, we offer Part Time Preschool Programs for children aged 2-5, After School Care for kids attending Magnolia ES and Blaine K-8, and an Elementary School currently serving kids Kindergarten through Second Grade. We will be adding one grade per year until we are a K-5.
We believe in the power of positive relationships to foster learning, and seek to know and support each child in a way that is “just right” for them.

Formed in 2014 by partners Hannah Harriman (School Director) and Aislinn Thomas (Curriculum Director), Little Mountain Montessori has served the neighborhood of Queen Anne as a Children’s House for ages 2.5 – 5+. Following a transition to a new campus with increased space, LMM continues to serve Queen Anne as well as both Magnolia and Ballard with two preschool classes as well as an Infant & Toddler program (ages 3m’s – 2+ – beginning early 2025).
Located at 3257 16th Ave W, the new campus is well suited for family pick-up/drop-off, one block from W Dravis St and 15th Ave W in Interbay. Designated parking and pick-up/drop-off access will be available, and LMM’s campus and property is both safe and a short walk to our local park.
Our experts designed our classrooms — and every activity and lesson — to help prepare your child for success in school and beyond. With designated learning centers such as dramatic play and blocks in every classroom, children have the opportunity for rich social play and child-initiated discovery.
You’ll also find that our classrooms feature a print-rich environment full of carefully selected materials, written charts and labels, and children’s literature. By helping your child connect spoken words and print, we’re helping develop early literacy and writing skills.
